About OBT2

The certificate holder may, install, alter, purge, repair, activate, service or remove an oil-fired appliance that has an input not greater than 7 U.S. gallons per hour and the accessories that form a part of the appliance assembly and that are essential to the operation of the appliance whether they are attached to it directly or remotely.

TSSA certification theory and practical exams are administered at the end of the course. Upon successful completion, the graduate will be issued a certificate or the equivalent by TSSA valid in Ontario.

In order to obtain a certificate from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), the candidate will be required to:

1) Successfully complete a training program delivered through a Training Provider that is
registered with, and accredited by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority.
2) Score an overall average of 75% or greater on the TSSA examination(s).
3) Receive an average score of 75% or higher on the practical evaluation.
4) Maintain an 80% attendance record.

Please note: Issued by TS Technical College: Transcript of Marks, Record of Course Completion New – TSSA charges $75.00 for an exam that is ordered and not used. Cancellations are permitted 10 business days prior to exam date. Substitute participants are not permitted.
